Nutty Bean Burgers

1 c canned garbanzo beans
1⁄4 c unsweetened soy milk
1 c quick or regular rolled oats
1 onion minced
1⁄2 c chopped walnuts and/or sunflower seeds
2 t. Bragg’s Liquid Aminos or soy sauce
1 t. Italian seasoning or sage
2 t. McKay’s beef-style seasoning or seasoning salt


Blend garbanzos in a blender while slowing adding milk until smooth. Pour into large bowl and add remaining ingredients. Mix well.

Spray skillet and preheat on medium. Using a wet spoon drop large scoop of burger onto skillet. Flatten patties with back of spoon.

Cover and brown slowly for about 7 minutes each side. Serve immediately, or refrigerate or freeze for later.
