Sunflower Seed Roast


1 cup ground walnuts
½cup dry bread crumbs
1 cup milk
3 Tbsp. diced onions
½cup ground sunflower seeds
1 Tbsp. oil
1 tsp. Salt


  1. Use blender or food processor to grind walnuts and sunflower seeds.
  2. Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl. Mix well.
  3. Pour into small rectangular or square baking dish that has been sprayed or wiped with a non-stick spray.
  4. Cover and let stand for ½ hour or refrigerate until next day.
  5. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 1 hour.

Serve with gravy or salsa.

To complete the meal serve with baked russet potatoes, lightly steamed greens and a fresh vegetable salad.
