Country Style "Sausage" Gravy

3-4 veggie sausage patties
4 c. water
1 c. cashew pieces
2 Tbs. onion powder
1 Tbs. garlic powder
4-5 Tbs. Braggs Liquid Aminos or soy sauce
4 Tbs. yeast flakes
1 Tbs. cornstarch
1 t. dry sage (optional)



Place veggie sausage patties in a non-stick saucepan, defrost if necessary, and break into small pieces with a wooden spoon.

Whiz all gravy ingredients, except sage, in blender on high 2-3 minutes until creamy. Add to saucepan with sausage and cook on medium-high until thick, stirring constantly. Add sage if desired.

Makes enough gravy for about 1 dozen biscuits.
